What a day! We began working today and got a good dose of on-the-job training as we walked for miles and miles (or maybe I should say kilometers and kilometers) through the streets of Lampang.
Our team saw several Buddhist temples and even interacted with a monk. Other conversations with citizens of Lampang helped us to understand some Buddhist beliefs and some Buddhist perceptions of Christianity. We also discovered that Mormons have a presence in the city and had been talking to some of the same people we met.
We caught our meals on the go and got a taste of real Northern Thai cuisine. It was pretty tasty. Keith and Chris drank Coke from a plastic bag. Needless to say we've gotten a good introduction to the culture.
Thank you again for your continual prayers and encouragement. Please continue to pray for us. The work is pretty tiring. May God be blessed forever among the Northern Thai because of it!
