We had an exiciting day that started in Lampang. We joined our fellow Thai believers at Lampang Baptist Church for a great worship service. The first hymn they sang was "Holy Holy Holy" in Thai and we quickly caught up in English!! Russell had a few words for the congregation, Shea led us in two hymns in English and we heard the translated testimony of two university students that was unbelievable. After the service was over, we were unexpectedly invited to join them for lunch at the church.....great experience and fellowship at Lampang Baptist.
We left there and traveled to a neighborhood Wat that was visited by Team 1 the day before. While we were there, they were having services to honor new young men becoming monks. Very interesting and sad at the same time.
From there, we drove on to Phrae, the capital of the northern province of Phrae. The city has about 50,000 people and is relatively the size of Starkville or Columbus. We plan to travel to Mark and Lisa Patenaude's home and then continue our mapping and research work near their home.
Exciting work continues to be done here in Thailand!! God is constantly blessing this team and our field mission team of Mark and Ja. We look forward to meeting Mark's family tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday. We sure enjoyed ours.
